Please refrain from any foul language or poor sportsmanship and respect the referees - their decisions are final.
- Games are to 21 (win by two), with a ten minute running clock time limit. If the game is not completed before time runs out, the team that is leading (does not need to be by two) when time runs out is the winner.
- If the game is tied at the end of the time limit, there will be a one minute running clock overtime. If the game is still tied at the end of that overtime, the game becomes sudden-death with next point determining the winner.
Opening possession is determined by flip of coin.Opening possession for each overtime thereafter is alternating possession. Possession changes after made baskets (no make it, take it). - On each change of possession after made basket or any stoppage of play, ball must be checked at top of key and offense must pass the ball in before dribbling or shooting. There is no stalling in checking the ball or passing in the ball. Teams have three seconds to check the ball and five seconds to pass in the ball.
- Ball must be brought back past the three-point line at each change of possession (one foot fully past three point line with possession of ball).
- All jump balls, as determined by the referee, become the possession of the defensive team.
Scoring is regulation with two-pointers, three-pointers and one-point free throws.Two free throws (or three for three-pointers) will be awarded for shooting fouls. - One
and one free throw opportunities will be awarded upon the fourth team
foul and any foul thereafter. Possession changes after free throws. Two free throws will be awarded upon the
eighth team foul and any foul thereafter. Shooting team retains possession after free throws. Stalling at the foul line is
prohibited; upon referees discretion, he may disallow any free throws
if person takes more than four seconds to shoot.
- All
free throws are taken with no rebounders. On one and one opportunities, shooter
only gets second shot if he makes the first.
- If a person is fouled in the act of shooting and makes the basket, the basket will count and one free throw will be awarded.
- The
referee may call intentional/flagrant fouls at his discretion. Upon
such a call, two free throws and possession of the ball will be awarded.
There are no timeouts. Besides the ordinary out of bounds lines, half court is also out of bounds. - The ball is out of bounds if it passes over the top edge of the backboard, touches the back side of the backboard, or touches the pole. The ball remains in play if the ball touches top, bottom, or side edges of the backboard.
- Substitutions can be made at any stoppage of play. Inform scorekeeper, who will inform referee. Substitutions must be completed without delay.
- Games will begin immediately after previous games are concluded. Please be ready to go as soon as previous game is over. If a team is not ready, the game will be forfeited.
Five seconds closely guarded and three seconds in the paint rules are in effect. The referee may institute a 30 second shot clock at their discretion if they feel a team is stalling.
All other rules are regulation. - Attendance at special speaker message is mandatory. Please be courteous during this brief message.
